Jaime blanchard
PRESIDENT
This is my sixth year on the Vallemar PTO. My son is in the 7th grade. We are looking forward to a great year! I am excited about the new adventures this year will bring.

Kelly Tse
Co- Publicity Secretary
Hello there! This is my 3rd year in the PTO. It’s been a great experience learning more about the school, getting to know the PTO members and getting involved with the community of Vallemar. I have two kids, Hazel who’s going into 6th and Wes who’s going into 4th. Excited for the new school and looking forward to 2023/2024 school year!

Erin acharya
TREASURER,
ACCOUNTS payable
My husband, Abhi, and I moved to the Vallemar neighborhood in 2014 from San Francisco. We’d go past Vallemar everyday and would look forward to when our kids were all there with one drop off and, more importantly, putting down roots in a place where we could see our children grow for years to come. We have two kids in 2nd grade (Jag and Val) and one in 5th (Atticus), and can say that the Vallemar community is even better than we’d hoped and we feel proud to be a part of it.

Vi Chou
1-2 Grade Rep
Hello! My name is Vi Chou and I am a mother to a 1st grader here at Vallemar. This is my second year serving on the PTO Board. I am excited to help contribute to the school community as one of your 1-2 Grade Rep.
Our family moved to Pacifica in 2017 and quickly fell in love with the beautiful nature, friendly people, and small-town feel. We are grateful for the warm welcome we've had into the Vallemar community and look forward to an exciting year ahead!

Sarah benavides
8th Grade Rep
I am a very lucky mom of two amazing kids- Dominic in 6th grade and Julian in 8th grade. I live in Vallemar with my kids, husband Rick, cat Jaxon and 2 dogs.
We love so many things about Vallemar School- the teachers and staff, the friends and parents, the sense of community and of course the amazing PTO! This will be my 8th year on the PTO Board in roles ranging from Activities and Programs Coordinator, Co VP of Fundraising, Co-President and now 8th Grade Chair. I’ve found each role rewarding and exciting in very different ways.
We love to see new faces and fresh ideas at PTO Meetings (virtual ones too)! Please join us!

Michele kirrane
Parent Council Rep
I am originally from the East Coast. I have lived all over the Bay Area, but have called Pacifica my home for 17 years. My husband is a Pacifica native. We have two boys who have attended Vallemar since preschool. They are now in 7th grade. This is my first year on the Vallemar PTO Board.

Maria Dallmann
VP Fundraising
My name is Maria Dallmann and I was born and raised in Pacifica. I have 3 kids, Stella 6th, Ava 4th, and Cassius 1st. I love our city by the ocean and the community I grew up in. I can't think of a better way to spend my free time than investing in my kid's school and education. We love the teachers, families, and community at Vallemar. I have volunteered for the past 5 years and promised to join the PTO once my youngest started school. True to my word, I'm thrilled to join the PTO and not only volunteer in my kid's classes, help with fundraisers, but I'm so excited to be the 3rd-5th grade rep. Always happy to help! Can't wait to meet you around campus and at the next PTO meetings.

kimi camozzi
co- publicity secretary
This is my 3rd year serving on the Vallemar PTO. I have an incoming 3rd grader, Ben, and a 1st grader, Jackson. We love Pacifica and Vallemar. I look forward to the upcoming year and serving as the Publicity Secretary.

Kara Berg
TREASURER,
ACCOUNTS receivable
This is my 3rd year on the PTO Board and I’m excited to try a new position as the Accounts Receivable Treasurer. I have a daughter in 2nd grade and son in 5th grade this year. I’m so grateful to be part of such an incredible community and school. I hope this year the PTO will receive lots of donations to help support all the incredible programs the PTO provides to all the students of Vallemar.

Kristin Borup
3 - 5 Grade Rep
A native of Wisconsin, my family and I moved to Pacifica two years ago. We have been so impressed with Vallemar, and right away I knew I wanted to be involved with our new school through the PTO. This is my third year on the board, and my first year as 3 - 5 Grade Rep. I have a strong belief that parents play an important role in our children’s education, and I believe that building a strong sense of school community is critical for the success of our schools. One of the things that makes Vallemar such a wonderful place is the sense of community that it fosters, and I am so happy to be able to give back to that community through my work with the PTO. We are going to have such a great year!

Kat Roman
PEF Ambassador
I grew up in Switzerland and moved to the United States when I was 18 to pursue a career in Dance Performance. I spent my 20’s touring the world, performing and teaching modern dance. After retiring from the stage, I settled in Pacifica with my husband. We are both private pilots and have 3 young girls (2nd, K and Pre-K). You will likely meet me running on the local trails or face painting at a park. I am excited to help improve our children’s experience in Pacifica’s excellent school district.

Recruiting

We are recruiting co-vAcademy Coordinator, join us!

BONNIE Maffei
VP of Volunteer Affairs
This is my first year on the PTO. I've been with the Vallemar kids for over 20 years. I worked for Vallemar childcare and now I'm the yard duty at the school.
I have a fifth grader at this amazing school. I can't wait to take on this new role and be more apart of the Vallemar family.

Tas Suvunnachuen
recording secretary
There are many things we love about our Vallemar School community. The PTO, teachers, and staff made us feel welcome and connected to the School since the day our oldest started Kindergarten years ago. We feel lucky to be a part of this family. Even though we have volunteered at many fundraising events, this is my third year serving on the PTO Board. I look forward to working with everyone to support and enrich students’ education.

Charlotte Allen
Middle School Rep
My name is Charlotte but feel free to call me Char. I am a proud Mom to Avery, a Vallemar Alum and Quinn, a Vallemar Eighth Grader. This will be my last year as a proud Vallemar parent and with my oldest graduating high school and my youngest graduating from Vallemar, I’d say I’m entitled to a year of bittersweet emotions. My favorite way to volunteer at school (when I take a day off work) is to chaperone a field trip. I love meeting new students and families! If you can’t find me on campus, I am always just a call, text or email away. I encourage new families to get involved. The PTO is where I was lucky enough to find many of my dearest friends.

amanda liu
TK - K Grade Rep
Hi! This is my first year on the PTO, and I'm excited to get involved. We're new to the Vallemar community - my daughter Clara just started kindergarten (she also has a little sister in preschool). I'm a native Californian and spent some time living and working in NY and Asia. Our family moved to Pacifica last year, so we're looking forward to meeting and connecting with other families at Vallemar. Go Stallions!
