CHARL0TTE ALLEN

PRESIDENT

My name is Charlotte and if you like me, you can call me Char. I am a proud Mom to Avery, a Vallemar Alum and Quinn, a Vallemar Seventh Grader. This will be my twelfth year as a proud Vallemar parent and eleventh as a PTO board member. My motivation as a board member is, and always has been, inclusivity. Every parent, guardian and teacher makes up the PTO and everyone deserves a voice in their child’s educational experience. If I could make up my own board position title, it’d be “The Welcome Wagon”.

I work full-time as Director of Marketing for an insurance agency which keeps me busy but never too busy to serve my community. I make time for PTO because I care deeply for our children and teachers at Vallemar. My favorite way to volunteer at school (when I take a day off work) is to join a Kindergarten tour or chaperone a field trip. I love meeting new families! If you can’t find me on campus, I am always just a call, text or email away. I’d love to encourage new families to get involved.

Kristin borup

recording secretary

A native of Wisconsin, my family and I moved to Pacifica two years ago.  We have been so impressed with Vallemar, and right away I knew I wanted to be involved with our new school through the PTO.  This is my second year on the board, and my first year as recording secretary.  I have a strong belief that parents play an important role in our children’s education, and I believe that building a strong sense of school community is critical for the success of our schools.  One of the things that makes Vallemar such a wonderful place is the sense of community that it fosters, and I am so happy to be able to give back to that community through my work with the PTO.  We are going to have such a great year!

Zobeida Gonzalez

I’m originally from the East coast (NY mostly), moved to San Francisco in 2009 and have been living in Pacifica since 2014. We transferred into Vallemar in October last year, drawn by the community and the VAcademy offerings. It has been a fantastic decision!

This will be my first year on the PTO and I’m looking forward to seeing what great things this year will bring. Outside of being a mom and a school volunteer, I’m a Recruiter for an EdTech company, a former improviser, dabble in writing and painting and am also a fledgling gardener.

My name is Maria Dallmann and I was born and raised in Pacifica.  I have 3 kids, Stella 5th, Ava 3rd, and Cassius incoming Kindergarten. I love our city by the ocean and the community I grew up in.  I can't think of a better way to spend my free time than investing in my kid's school and education.  We love the teachers, families, and community at Vallemar.   I have volunteered for the past 5 years and promised to join the PTO once my youngest started school.  True to my word, I'm thrilled to join the PTO and not only volunteer in my kid's classes, help with fundraisers, but I'm so excited to be the 3rd-5th grade rep.  Always happy to help! Can't wait to meet you around campus and at the next PTO meetings.

TREASURER,
ACCOUNTS payable

There are many things we love about our Vallemar School community.  The PTO, teachers, and staff made us feel welcome and connected to the School since the day our oldest started Kindergarten years ago.  We feel lucky to be a part of this family.  Even though we have volunteered at many fundraising events, this is my second year serving on the PTO Board in the role of Accounts Payable Treasurer.  I look forward to working with everyone to support and enrich students’ education.

I’ve spent many hours on campus, volunteering in my daughters' classrooms over the years, as well as at various functions and events such as the Fall Fun Fest, Bingo, The Craft Fair as well as volunteering weekly as Library, PE, Art and Computer Lab Helper, to name a few.

My husband Michael and I are Terra Nova High School sweetheart alumnis.

It’s been a great experience learning more about the school, getting to know the PTO members and getting involved with the community of Vallemar. Erin Acharya

Erin acharya

Parent Council

My husband, Abhi, and I moved to the Vallemar neighborhood in 2014 from San Francisco. We’d go past Vallemar everyday and would look forward to when our kids were all there with one drop off and, more importantly, putting down roots in a place where we could see our children grow for years to come.  We have two kids in 1st grade (Jag and Val) and one in 4th (Atticus), and can say that the Vallemar community is even better than we’d hoped and we feel proud to be a part of it.

This is my first year on the PTO board and I look forward to helping our community grow. During the day, I work as the Extended Day Director at a San Francisco school and teach HypnoBirthing evenings or weekends. Don’t hesitate to ask questions or just say hi! I look forward to getting to know you!

8th grade chair

As a mother of 4, I have been a Vallemar parent for 12 years with 9 more years to come. I’m here for the long haul and I want to make every child’s experience here joyful and memorable; one they cherish and reflect on fondly. I have served the PTO now for 4 years in different capacities, and I am excited for my new role as the 8th grade chair.

I work part time for our beloved San Francisco Giants in the Maritime Division which has allowed me to devote time to volunteer in the classroom or anywhere else needed.

I look forward to seeing the class of 2023, who I have watched grown up, enjoy all the fun activities we will plan for their final year at Vallemar, their home for the last 9 years.
