I am a very lucky mom of two amazing boys- Dominic in 3rd grade and Julian in 5th grade.  I live in Vallemar with my boys, husband Rick, cat Jaxon and puppy Lima.

We love so many things about Vallemar School- the teachers and staff, the friends and parents, the sense of community and of course the amazing PTO!  This will be my fifth year on the PTO in roles ranging from VP of Fundraising to Activities and Programs Coordinator and now my second year as Co-President.

We love to see new faces and fresh ideas at PTO Meetings (virtual ones too)!  Please join us!

This is my 4th year on the PTO, second as VP of fundraising. This year is going to be very different in how we do everything, but I know that with this group we can make the best of it.

Our two Vallemar Stallions are in 3rd and 5th grade, and are looking forward to see what this year has in store for them!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

A native of Puyallup, WA, I’ve been in the bay area for 18 years.  My husband and I moved to Pacifica in March 2017 and feel we have truly found where we belong.  We have two children, Alexandria (third grade), and Arthur (K).  I currently work part-time as a family law attorney and love spending my non-work time helping out at Vallemar both in and out of the classroom.

I am a strong believer that parents play an integral part of their children’s education, and am so proud to be a part of this amazing group of parents who dedicate so much time and love to the children at our school.

I am looking forward to my third year on the PTO board here at Vallemar.

Originally from the U.K, I have been in the Bay Area for 10 years – and Pacifica for the last four. I am the proud mom of a first grader and his younger sister, who is currently in pre-school.

We love it here and enjoy hiking, mountain biking, soccer, surfing and paddle boarding.

I have worked in the sports industry for the past 18 years, and now have my own business supporting organizations globally with the planning of major projects and sporting events.

I am excited to be joining the PTO this year, am looking forward to working with you all, and supporting the Vallemar community.

I've been a volunteer at Vallemar for 10 years, as a PTO board member, class parent, field trip chaperone, vAcademy co-chair, 8th grade chairperson, and organizer of Vallemar's first outdoor movie night and first student- designed Spirit Wear contest.

We've lived in Vallemar for 17 years and I'm the mom to a 7th grader as well as an Oceana high school sophomore/Vallemar alum. I work FT as a VP of Communications handling PR for tech companies, and I have a BA in Psychology.

I also was co-chair of the successful Measure D Pacifica school district parcel tax renewal campaign in 2016.

k-2 grade rep
vallemar teacher

This will be my first year serving on the Vallemar PTO Board. I'm excited to be the K-2 co-rep since I have an incoming Kinder (Elise) and 2nd grader (Claire).

In addition to being a Vallemar parent, I'm also a Vallemar teacher (8th grade ELA/SS). My husband Aaron is Neuro-Surgery Faculty at UCSF, so I have the humanities covered in our house and luckily he is there to handle the STEM! We moved to Pacifica almost seven years ago from Oakland, although neither of us are Bay Area Natives. I grew up in Los Angeles and he grew up in NYC; but we have found our forever home here. In my free time I train for and run marathons, listen to podcasts, attend live musical theater, and read mostly non-fiction.

I'm excited to become a bigger part of the Vallemar parenting community!

My name is Charlotte and if you like me, you can call me Char. I am a proud Mom to Avery, a Vallemar Alum and Quinn, a Vallemar Fifth Grader. This will be my tenth year as a parent at Vallemar and ninth as a PTO board member. My motivation as a board member is, and always has been, inclusivity. Every parent, guardian and teacher makes up the PTO and everyone deserves a voice in their child’s educational experience.

I work full-time as Director of Marketing for an insurance agency which keeps me busy but never too busy to serve my community. I make time for PTO because I care deeply for our children and teachers at Vallemar and want nothing more than for everyone’s experience here to be the best it can be. My favorite way to volunteer at school (when I take a day off work) is to join Ms. Lobao on Kindergarten tours and chaperone field trips.

I love meeting new families eager to advocate for their students’ education and enjoy getting to know kids in my children’s class in a field trip atmosphere. If you can’t find me on campus, I am always just a call, text or email away. I’d love to encourage new families to get involved and make sure we all feel welcomed!

I am the proud mom of Tristan, who is entering the fourth grade.

This year is my third year on the board and I will remain in the role of Accounts Payable Treasurer.  I look forward to another great year with a great community!

Feel free to email me with a better Bio!

This will be my 1st year on the PTO, as activities coordinator (vAcademy) along side Rosie, who I got to know while our kids were in kindergarten last year.  I grew up in Pacifica, attended Vallemar for elementary school and later moved back to Pacifica with my husband Patrick in 2014.  I currently work as a Registered Nurse at California Pacific Medical Center.

We enjoy raising our kids in Pacifica and look forward to the school years ahead at Vallemar.  Anthony (1st grade) and Nieve (future Vallemar student!).

I’m a lucky mom of two wonderful children. Our daughter Nylah will be entering 1st grade and our son Tyler will be entering 4th grade.  I work as a Registered Nurse in the Hematology, Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant clinic managing clinical trials at UCSF Medical Center.  In my spare time our family enjoys camping with our trailer, traveling to new places and watching our children play sports in this amazing community.

My passion is helping people and I look forward to guiding you and your family through this exciting and challenging new year.

ACCOUNTS receivable

This is my second as a member of the Vallemar PTO. I know how overwhelming it can be starting a new school and I’m happy to help new parents in any way!

Our son Nico will be entering 3rd grade this year and daughter Lucia is starting 1st grade.  I grew up in Pacifica and moved back here with my husband, Paul, in 2012.  I currently work from home for a technology company and have more than 10 years of experience in technology marketing and communications.  In my free time you might find me reading, binging Netflix or listening to a true crime podcast.

Our family is so thrilled to be part of the thriving Vallemar community!   I look forward to working with you!

I'm mom to Leona (4th grade) and Ronen (1st grade).

I work from home as a financial analyst. You are most likely to find me petting one of our two cats,  Nexus and Caissa, reading, or wandering one of the gorgeous Pacifica trails.

This is my first year on the PTO board and I'm very excited to be part of what makes Vallemar so wonderful!

serena roberts

8th grade chair

My husband and I both grew up in Pacifica and we love raising our girls in our hometown.  Olivia graduated from Vallemar and is now junior at Terra Nova, and Amelia is in eighth grade. This is my twelfth and last year as a parent here at Vallemar.

I've had great experiences volunteering in my daughters' classes, helping out in the library, and running the Shopping…It’s A Trip fundraiser. As the eighth grade representative, I look forward to making this an extra special year for our students.

This will be my fourth year on the PTO and I'm excited to work with a great group of people!

Amy Swanson

k-2 grade rep

Our Family lives in Vallemar and our daughter, Lily Grace, will be entering the 2nd grade this coming year. We feel so lucky to be part of the Vallemar community. This is my first year on the PTO board, co-rep for grades K-2. I’ve volunteered in Lily’s classroom throughout her kinder & 1st grade years. I love being able to support and help out the teachers while getting to know Lily’s classmates.

Originally from Upstate New York, I moved to San Francisco in 1992 becoming a SF firefighter in 2002. My husband, Carlos and I, were married in 2007, moving to Vallemar from San Francisco in 2011. Carlos is a teacher at a Charter School in SF, helping adults to complete their high school education. Our Family loves the water, we get into a body of water any chance we get to swim and play.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me for support or questions regarding your kiddos in grades K-2.
