Meet the 2025/2026 Board
Vallemar PTO is an all-volunteer, parent-run, non-profit organization committed to enhancing and enriching the education of our children and fostering a sense of community within our schools. All Vallemar parents and guardians are members of the PTO!
PTO Board Positions are available with varying time commitments, skills, and include roles where you can work from home or be in the schools. Each role offers flexibility to make your own unique impact! Get to know the parents who are working on the PTO board this year:

Mollie Yocum
President
We love many things about our Vallemar School community. The PTO, the teachers, and the staff made us feel welcome and connected from day one. We feel lucky to be a part of this family. This is my fourth year serving on the PTO Board. I look forward to working with this community to support and enrich students’ education.

Lisa Pigula
Publicity Secretary
This is my third year on the PTO board and second year as Publicity Secretary. I have a 3rd grader and a 1st grader at the school, and we've had a wonderful experience at Vallemar thanks to the amazing teachers, staff, and supportive parent community. I'm excited to stay involved and help out wherever I can.

Melissa Curl
Accounts Payable Treasurer
My husband, Matt, and I moved from Texas to San Francisco in 2013, and we settled in Pacifica in 2015. We have two sons at Vallemar this year, in 4th and 1st grades, and one son in 6th grade at IBL. This is my 3rd year as Accounts Payable Treasurer, and I’m excited to continue using my finance background to optimize the school’s budget and goals, and to connect with even more of our amazing community.

Katie Magee
Activities Program Coordinator - vAcademy
We’ve lived in Pacifica for 10 years and have a 2n grader and a 5th grader at Vallemar. Our favorite school days are the ones when we can bike together in the morning! We love being part of this community and are excited to help support a variety of afterschool classes that offer something for every interest.

Mary Olson
5th Grade Representative
This is my second year at Vallemar and my first year serving on the PTO Board. I have a 5th grader and a 1st grader, and we’ve had a wonderful experience thanks to the amazing teachers, staff, and supportive parent community. I’m especially excited to help make our 5th graders’ final year at Vallemar memorable. I’ve spent 15 years working in biotech, and outside of work, I enjoy traveling, cooking, and playing pickleball.

Megan Grant
Accounts Receivable Treasurer
My husband and I have lived in Pacifica since 2011, and we’ve raised our two boys here—one in 1st grade at Vallemar and the other in preschool.
Professionally, I work in financial services as a managing partner at a small advisory firm. This is my second year on the PTO Board, and I’ll be serving as the Account Receivable Treasurer. I joined the PTO to be more involved in my son’s school experience and to contribute in a meaningful way. I’m looking forward to supporting the work the PTO does and hope to bring some of my professional experience to the role to help make a positive impact.

Kristen Jackanich
1-2 Representative
I am a mother of two kids in first and fourth grade. The Jackanich family have been a part of the Vallemar community since Fall 2022. I am also a math instructor and Chair of the Curriculum Committee at West Valley College.
